The summer heat can be harsh to your crowning glory and locks, so it’s a must to take the necessary precautions and employ lifestyle changes (at least for a couple of months) to ensure that they’ll face summer with little complications.

Scalp Sunburn is a Thing

Yes, scalp sunburn is real world problem. Though it mostly affects people with short hair or with a balding scalp, it can affect long-haired people, especially women. The best way to prevent it is to wear a wide-brimmed hat and prevent it from being in contact with the hot, burning golden light. Hair and scalp sunscreen is also being sold too.

If you’re afflicted with scalp sunburn, let it heal on its own, follow standard sunburn treatment methods, take regular baths, and brush your hair gently. It’ll be terrible once the skin starts to peel, but don’t fret for it’ll be gone in a few weeks.

There are certain hair care products made from natural ingredients which you can resort to.

Overall, summer hair care isn’t difficult. Just remember to protect, clean, moisturize and use products which can protect, moisturize, and nourish your both your wavy locks and your scalp! Remember, your hair is your crowning glory, so be sure to take good care of it!
